HI-NEW-TEX was founded by Taipei-based functional textile specialist Kevin Lee, whose career spans more than 25 years in high-performance fabric research and development.

After contributing to material innovation projects for global brands including ARC'TERYX and GUCCI, Kevin brought together material technology and artistic thinking to create HI-NEW-TEX’s first signature product in 2020: an inflatable sofa reimagined through a distinctive workwear-inspired silhouette.

What began with one unconventional seat has since grown into a lifestyle brand exploring new ways to live, rest, gather, and move.
